We are delighted to share with you some of the key lessons learnt from the event that we organised in April, in partnership with RS Assessment from Hodder education. Below you can choose to view either a 90 second super-condensed "highlights reel" or a slightly longer (but still concise) ten minute summary of the key takeaways.

What we covered in the event

The event brought together some of Assembly's friends and partners, as well as representatives from over 30 Multi Academy Trusts from across the country.

Hosted in the spectacular Thames-side offices of Hodder Education, we were thrilled to hear first from James Pembroke (Sig+, School Date Updates) and then from Daisy Christodoulou (No More Marking) about how MATs can implement systems of assessment and data management that really focus on children's learning, improving pupil outcomes and reducing workload.

A real highlight of the event was the panel discussion and Q & A session, with contributions from Windsor Academy Trust, Astrea Academies Trust and ARK Schools, as well as James and Daisy. Learning first hand from those at the forefront of MAT development was an enormously valuable experience.

We hope that this will prove to be a useful development resource and do feel free to share it with colleagues in your MAT.

What next?

The feedback we have received has been incredibly positive, and so we are hoping to be able to repeat the event in the future. If you would like to be included on our guest list, then please visit our website and subscribe to our newsletter.

Finally, a huge thank you to James Pembroke, Daisy Christodoulou, Dawn Haywood, Lisa Thompson and Lauren Thorpe for their expertise, and our partners at RS Assessment from Hodder Education for hosting this event. We hope to see you at the next one.
