Alps partner with Assembly to transform how secondary schools analyse and interpret data.

PRESS RELEASE

Alps to use Assembly to handle data integration between Alps Connect and school Management Information Systems (MIS).

Assessment data analysis is an essential part of school life, but for many schools it is a complex and time-consuming process. Competing systems are frequently used in different phases of a school, and there’s often been plenty of manual spreadsheet work required to make sense of the data.

However, a new partnership between Alps and Assembly is set to transform how secondary schools approach assessment analytics. Alps Connect is the new web-based interactive reporting platform from Alps, the highly-regarded school data analysis and training company. For the first time, the tool allows schools to contextualise and interpret their internal monitoring data in relation to the popular Alps benchmarks.

Alps’ partnership with Assembly will allow them to automate fully the flow of a school’s assessment and exams data from their MIS into Alps Connect. By integrating with the Assembly platform, Alps can take advantage of Assembly’s unique ability to process assessment and exams data from the MIS and pass it on to partners in a standard, normalised format.

Rick Boyce, CTO, Alps: “We’ve had our own methods for extracting exams data from school MIS for some time, but with Alps Connect we wanted to offer our schools more, including the ability to process and analyse assessment data from multiple MIS with the minimum of fuss. Assembly allows us to do just that.”

Joshua Perry, Director, Assembly: "We’ve always had great respect for Alps - for decades they’ve been the leading name in secondary data analysis - so it’s a privilege to be helping them to offer schools an enhanced analytics experience. To our knowledge, Alps Connect is the first UK schools data platform to offer exams and monitoring data analysis with full MIS integration across a range of suppliers."
